Role Overview
We are looking for a Software Implementation Consultant to support pre-sales and implementation activities for retail software solutions. This role combines client-facing communication with hands-on involvement in software deployment and user enablement.
You will work on long-term IT and software implementation projects, collaborating closely with both clients and our internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including client meetings, needs discussions, and software demonstrations
- Support the implementation projects of Retano’s software solutions
- Conduct pilot deployments and pre-project system setups
- Configure the system according to project requirements
- Deliver user training and provide implementation-related support
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
Requirements
- 1–3 years of overall professional experience in one or more of the following areas: food or fashion retail, IT, digital, or technology-enabled business environments
- Strong motivation to build a career in IT solution implementation and readiness to learn new tools, systems, and implementation approaches
- Experience working with business or digital systems (e.g. CRM, ERP, SCM, POS, analytics, or similar platforms) as a user, coordinator, analyst, or in an operational role
- Willingness to develop implementation, consulting, and client-facing skills over time
- Italian: full professional fluency (primary working language)
- English: professional working proficiency (B1-B2 level or higher)
- Ability to work remotely from Italy
Nice to have
- Basic understanding of business or retail processes and how technology supports daily operations
- Experience in communication with internal or external stakeholders, including system walkthroughs, training, support, or presentations (formal or informal)
- Experience with retail IT solutions
- Spanish at B2 level or higher would be a plus.
